Job Description / Responsibility
Ensure the field implementation of the Nobo Jibon interventions in the selected working areas
Lead in planning and providing technical guidance for implementation of market-driven horticulture, non-farm and poultry-based livelihood activities field level
Play key role in coordinating the livelihood activities with lead/technical/ implementing partners as well as providing technical assistance and help build capacity of their field staff
Ensure high impact through integration with other components, arrange dissemination of program achievements to concerned stakeholders and advocate with the GOB and with other stakeholders at different levels
Ensure the application of IDE’s market-driven income generation approach and closely work with market actors specific to selected value chains.
Follow up and monitor the field implementation of field/partner staffs ensuring their capacities to explore new market opportunities for the farmers/producers/value chain actors and update the senior management team
Carry out responsibilities in financial management and administration at the local level and ensure the efficient use of the project resources in consultation with supervisor.
Present progress report as well as other reports on a regular basis, document the key learning & findings

Educational Requirements
Masters degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Social Science

Experience Requirements
5 to 8 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Program Officer/Manager, Project Coordinator/ Officer
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Development Agencies, NGOs, Poultry/Dairy/Veterinary

Additional Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in market driven projects including 3 years in managerial position.
Very good written and verbal communications skills, in both Bengali and English.
Preference will be given to candidates aged below 40 years
Proficiency in use of computer (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential)
Good negotiation skills
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Ability to work with partners and able to guide staff to demonstrate results
Ability to maximize the utilization of resources.
Able and willing to ride on a motorcycle (with valid driving license) for field visits and travel by local transports
Experience to work with both public and private sector with minimum supervision
Ability to write reports in English is essential

Salary Range
TK.40000 - 45000
