This is a whole-school administrative role which supports the Academic Coordinator primarily in developing an excellent working knowledge of Serco Facility Admin, the Student Information Management System (SIMS), and responding to the requirements of the school with regard to this system.
In addition, the person executing this role would be expected to support the Academic Coordinator in his/her various other responsibilities.
The Assistant to the Academic Coordinator will be expected to:
Develop an excellent working knowledge of Serco Facility Admin & ePortal
Maintain the integrity of data in the SIMS.
Help develop and maintain the yearly academic timetable.
Help maintain student records.
Develop and produce student reports according to the schedules agreed upon with the Schools.
Develop and generate reports in order to assist the various members of the school staff in the execution of their roles.
Train and assist teachers, office staff, and others, in order that they be able to make good use of both Facility and ePortal
Assist in the development & improvement of the use of Serco Facility & associated programs/software.
Develop a detailed understanding of the school’s academic structure and needs and provide long-term support for the role of the Academic Coordinator in order to provide continuity.
Educational Requirements
An undergraduate degree in an IT-related qualification
Prior experience within an education establishment
Knowledge of the IB
