Job Description / Responsibility
Ensure effective procurement both foreign & local
Prepare annual procurement plan & budget
Implement Procurement plan through effective procedures
Supervise all activities related to the material management
Ensure timely opening of LC and all bank activities are done on time
Accountable for timely & efficient handling of all activities related to clearance of imported materials from seaport/airport
Carry out contract/ agreement negotiation
Maintain Vendors assessment
Coordinate with other depts. for justified material requisitions

Educational Requirements
Masters in any discipline from a reputed university (MBA is preferred).

Experience Requirements
8 to 10 year(s)

Purchase/Procurement, Supply Chain
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments (Woven/Apparel/Knitting), Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG
Proven track record of success in a leadership role within procurement
Clear understanding on procurement related activities
Adequate knowledge on LC opening, Insurance, Customs, VAT, C&F, and Seaport Airport activities, EPB etc. related to import activities
Conversant with contract/ agreement negotiation & management
Having sufficient knowledge on Inventory/ material management
Having work knowledge on ERP
Good computer literacy
Able to effectively lead and influence complex supply chain situation
Conversant with BD import/customs/bank requirement and documentation
Experience in Garments Accessories company will get preference.
