Job Description / Responsibility
• As Marine Technical Advisor to the MPM Project team on all marine operational matters
• As Tow Master for Barges and Mobile Offshore Units(MOU)
• Vessel and MOU inspections to assess suitability, contract conformation, integral and operational marine HSE.
• As Marine Coordinator for all marine operational matters between Project team, Contractors for the Project and SMR(Marine Crew CV verification & Approvals, Crew Briefings, SETS & Interviews, Hardware inspections)
• Managing the project marine logistics day to day operational activities (including coordinating barge movements at MCY)
• Review the anchor pattern for Construction barges, workboat prior submission to SMR/2 for approval
• Conduct HSE- MS for the Project Marine Contractors Management and on the vessel’s management and ISM Systems for the MPM Marine Spread
• Conduct coaching session and training onboard the vessel for the marine crew a minimum of ONE(1) week a month
• Conduct Milestone Zero Inspections, verify close out of marine punch list items
• Conduct hardware and operational audit for the MPM and SMR Marine Resources on a 6(SIX) monthly period with report to SMR.
• Assessment of Marine Crew Competency as per the SMR Competency verification process.
• Review of the project marine procedures for construction barges, work boats and vessel spread and method statement for all marine operations such as tow out, launching and sinking of pipelines.
• Conduct incident investigation and the write up of incident report, close out of actions, and full implementation of learning and presentations to the marine network on finding and learning for sharing.
• Support BSP Marine department in all related Marine Offshore activities
• Participation in constructability reviews, HAZIDs etc
• Reporting to SMR/2 on a weekly basis on all activities carried out, with learning and implementation and status of close out actions together with the submission of reports, reviews and coaching conducted for that period.
• Updates Marine Documentations (TOPO Charts), promulgates Mariners notifications

Educational Requirements
Master Class I Certificate of Competency issued by a recognised authority is the minimum requirement with STCW 95, Petroleum or Gas dangerous cargoes endorsements.
Qualified Master Marine with at least 3 years experience in the EP offshore industry.

Age below or equal to 40 year(s)
• Work barge and Rig move experience (2 years as a Tow master on Construction barges).
• Offshore Construction, pipeline, jacket installation project Good knowledge of shipping operations and ship/shore interface management.
• Piloting experience and/ or working knowledge of E & P Offshore activities would be beneficial.
• Has Audit experience
• Up to date knowledge on Marine rules and regulations.
• Good communicator, both in written and oral English.
• To manage and integrate with marine professionals and diverse non- marine professional in Exploration and Production functions.
