Job Description / Responsibility
Friendship is a value based organization; its mission is to help the poorest of the poor. The organization especially works in the most underprivileged, communities in Bangladesh in the Nomad islands (the Chars) riverine and coastal belt areas of the northern and southern part of Bangladesh.
Friendship provides mainly the following services :
1. Hospital based services in two floating hospitals and one land hospital.
2. Community based health services
a) Satellite clinic services
b) Friendship Community Medics (FCM) services
Friendship is looking for Medical Officer’s for its community health programs in field level. Overall responsibilities of the medical officer would be managing the communities based Primary Health Care services, Family planning Program, and treatment of the patients.
The core responsibilities include:
To provide health care services to the beneficiaries in the hospital and during health camps.
To help in establishing referral network with different health centers
• To counsel the patients
• To keep liaison with clients/ donors and Government when and where required
• To do advocacy on family planning services for the eligible couples
• To provide guidance & support to Lab Technologist and Paramedics, nurses for clinical record keeping
• To be capable to manage the Friendship Health Service Centre and supervise the activities of the clinical staffs.
To plan and organize the training program for the development of the project.
To compile, analyze and finalize the monthly, quarterly and yearly report on health activities
As a member of the Project team, work should be done in coordination with colleagues to ensure high quality support to the projects and excellence within the organization.

Educational Requirements
Medical officer (Female doctors are encouraged to apply)

Experience Requirements
Minimum 1 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Hospitals/Clinic/Diagonastic Centre, NGOs

Additional Job Requirements
Working in the similar type of organization would be a preference.
Practical knowledge in clinical services and health care system
Have basic computing knowledge with MS Office applications

Salary Range
